Aithene is a brand of Vaikoon AG, Gotthardstrasse 47, 6045 Meggen, Switzerland. For 15 years the team has built and operated compliance and regulatory systems for banking, trading and treasury teams at some of the world’s best-known corporations. Using AI ourselves meant full data sovereignty, a highly secure environment, controlled model hosting, predictable costs and a way to de-risk what AI produces. Nothing on the market did that, so we created our own, with those requirements as founding constraints, not a legal annex.

What is Aithene?
Aithene is one controlled layer between enterprise applications and AI models, from Vaikoon AG. It gives you your choice of model, on Swiss-owned hardware or your own premises, with zero prompt retention. It is live today, in continuous production for over six months behind AI Router, with paying customers.
Who is it for?
Organisations that work with sensitive information, including banking, insurance, defence and the public sector, and technology partners who need control over their models, data and deployment.
Can we use our own models?
Yes. Use curated open-weight models, or bring your own and fine-tuned models, through one OpenAI-compatible endpoint. Run Aithene in Switzerland on Aithene hosting, on-premise, in your private cloud or on a dedicated lane. Models, policies and hosting are set per customer as configuration, and model versions are pinned, so every upgrade is a controlled change.
What does “responsible AI” mean here?
It means the right model for each task and evidence over broad promises. Energy use and CO2 impact are visible for every workload, by application, team and model, giving you figures for ESG reporting, client questionnaires and investor due diligence. Aithene runs on its own hardware in an ISO 14001-certified Swiss datacentre. We do not claim carbon-neutral operations; the methodology behind footprint figures is available on request.
